Le Pèlerin du 20e Siècle 24 Nov 1968

Le Pèlerin 24 Nov 1968 Cover
Le Pèlerin du 20e Siècle (The Pilgrim of the 20th Century) is a French catholic weekly magazine, still being published after 150+ years (having meanwhile dropped the 20th Century in the title).

With Xmas a month away, the issue for 24 November 1968 has a feature about new childrens' toys with MMM being featured on the cover. Inside the same somewhat lethargic boy is trying out other toys, with or without a slightly older girl.

Translations by Paul Vreede:

Cover text reads "Toys 1968: all new... all beautiful..."

Le Pèlerin 24 Nov 1968 Inset about the cover

Inside there's this blurb regarding the cover:

NOTRE COUVERTURE.

OUR COVER. If we can judge by the happy mood of our little friends that have wanted to help for our photos of new toys for 1968, there will be many more happy ones. Thus Olivier was passionate about Major Matt Mason (Mattel collection), the man of space, his protective suit, his lunar vehicle, his jet sled. (See our article on pages 24-25-26.)

 John's Notes

I really love these rather obscure publications that contain unexpected Major Matt Mason articles and/or images. Once Paul sent me this cover I had to find one and luckily they are somewhat easy to find in France (eBay France is your friend).
