Once again utilizing the mod, 60's packaging found in other boxed sets from this period, the Talking Flying Matt Mason featured a window to view the Talking Command Voice Pak-wearing figure. Basically a "combo-pack" of two separate playsets, this boxed set came with a figure/helmet, the Talking Command Voice Pak (from the Talking MMM set) and an XRG-1 Reentry Glider.

Packaging:

The box is made of corrugated cardboard printed on all sides (in black, white and blue ink), except the front and bottom, which have an applied full-color, process-printed label. The package measures 18" by 18" by 4 3/4". Copyright is 1970. The box reads: "Includes Major Matt Mason - Voice Command Pak and XRG-1 Reentry Glider" - "Calls Out Life-Saving Orders to His Crew!"

John's Notes:

Until a few years ago, this was thought of as one of the rarer MMM playsets. Recently several have turned up (not to say that it isn't difficult to find - it still is, however it's not on par with the 6361 XRG-1 Reentry Glider with Major Matt Mason). Make sure you check out the listing for both 6360 and 6362 for a more comprehensive look at both accessories. It's my belief that this set only came with the riveted canopy but have seen examples with the slip-on canopy - nothing "store stock" though so I'm assuming the glider has been swapped for the more common, earlier version (the riveted canopy is often broken as over time the plastic stretches and cracks across the insert tabs).
