This area of my site is devoted to getting connected with other Major Matt Mason collectors. This used to include: eMail distribution lists, Message Boards, resources for Reproduction Parts, Restoration tips and pricing lists. However over time all of these earlier forums have gone to the wayside. For the most part MMM collectors get together on Facebook through two different user groups:
Facebook Groups:
There are currently two Major Matt Mason Facebook groups:
- MAJOR MATT MASON - This is the largest and longest running MMM Group - at this time (2024.01.04) it has 5590 members and is a public group. The site is managed by me and I allow related content, similar space toy discussion or postings regarding the Space Race
- Major Matt Mason Group - This group has a smaller membership (as of 2023.01.04) it has 2722 members and is a private group. It's more specific to MMM (side discussions aren't tolerated) with pictographic stories (photos of MMM stills set to tell a story)
Usenet:
There are currently no Usenet categories
supporting Major Matt Mason toys as a stand-alone entity. Occasionally
someone will post a message to rec.toy.vintage or rec.toy.gijoe, but
this is rare indeed.
MMM Newsletter:
Originally to be published bi-weekly, this
e-zine, the MMM newsletter is published by Alec Peters in 1999. It's now defunct but you can access the content - lots of good articles within.
Major Matt Mason Toy Values - this is my subjective appraisal of MMM rarity and what impacts prices
Major Matt Mason Fakes - toys created to swindle the MMM collector.
Lancelot Links - I've collected what remains of Major Matt Mason links here.
