VINTAGE MATTEL MAJOR MATT MASON SPACE CRAWLER IN BOX WORKS INSTRUCTIONS NICE

Item number: 364738781861
Ended: Feb 26, 2024 6:22 PM
Winning bid: $199.00 ($14.90 Standard Shipping)

Description:

One of my favorite flea market vendors is retiring and I have just purchased lots of his antiques and vintage toys and parts including Hot Wheels,Gi Joes,G1 Transformers, boxed vintage model kits and many other great items so please keep checking my auctions as I will be listing this stuff in the days ahead. Original owner said it didnt work and he worked on it and now it works great. My batteries are old and it still works well so with new batteries it should be in perfect working order. The crawler, box and paperwork are better then expected for almost 60 years old but of coarse there are signs of age, shelf ware and playeware. I sell vintage toys as is.I only ship to the USA and the Global shipping program is available for this listing. Shipping is $14.90 for this listing.

My Take:
I believe this is a pretty good deal for a working complete crawler with a box and instructions

Matt Mason Lunar Base Command Set-Mattel-MIB-Open Box But Items Not Removed

Item number: 116073433440
Ended: Feb 20, 2024 1:48 PM
Winning bid: Unknown - Best Offer Accepted from Starting Bid of $2,000 ($110.00 Standard Shipping)

Description:

This is a Mattel Matt Mason Lunar Base Command Set from 1968 that has its contents still as packaged, mint in the box. The crawler on top is the only piece not secured by staple to cardboard. Figures on Matt Mason and Callisto are still in their bubbles which are stapled to sides. You get what you see. I am not removing anything . I know that many of you want to be the ones to first remove the pieces as if you just got it from the store or like Christmas morning. It will one shipped via UPS for $110. See the photos.

My Take:
I don't normally post Best Offer auctions but due to the rarity of this boxed set, especially as a store-stock item deserved the attention. I know of only three intact Lunar Base Command Sets (I own one and two others are owned by friends). This makes 4 that I'm aware of.

1962 Major Matt Mason & Astronaut Vintage Collegeville Costume Metal Mask Forms!

Item number: 305403620250

Winning bid: $400 ($29.70 USPS Ground Advantage®)

Description:

These are the original metal forms used in the vacuform machine at Collegeville costumes to create the 1962 through 1973 space costume masks including Major Matt Mason Flash Gordon, Moon Patrol, Astronaut and more. The same forms were used for multiple costumes over the years and were just painted uniquely for the various characters and Halloween costumes.

These are a one-of-a-kind items and the die for cutting the shapes is included as well. Very rare and amazing space collectible. Purchased by me from the warehouse some 35 years ago.

My Take:
I didn't chance to even see this auction or I would have gladly done the BIN.

1968 Mattel Major Matt Mason DOUG DAVIS Pak - Factory Sealed! - Mint on Card!

Item number: 296201743004
Ended: Feb 2, 2024 10:45 AM
Winning bid: US $925.00 (Free Shipping)

Description:

1968 Mattel Major Matt Mason DOUG DAVIS Pak -  Mattel Factory Sealed!      Mint on Card!      Doug Davis remains firmly sealed to the Mattel card.       Some age/wear to card/bubble as shown.      Card and bubble are super clean.     Original 1968 '.73' toy store price stamp.    Gorgeous top-shelf display carded Doug Davis Pak!

From Mattel's 1966-1972 "Man In Space" toy line, Stock No. 6333 - Doug Davis Pak.    Major Matt in 1966 was the first of the four MMM figures - Sgt. Storm followed in 1967, Doug Davis in 1968, and Lt. Jeff Long was the last figure released, in 1969.

My Take:
NI was sorely tempted by this one as I still don't have a tall-carded Doug Davis. At the end I decided to hold out for one that's in a bit better condition.
