Trade Fair promoted Major Matt Mason in the Napa Value Register on September 7, 1967 along with other toys. This is probably the most verbose ad I've ever seen that accompanied product images - I'm guessing the ad marketers felt the need to explain each MMM item in detail. It's also a confusing ad as the image for the Space Crawler has the price for the Flight Card next to it and the Flight Card Text below. 

Note the mention of a color wall poster - I've seen this before both in ads and early catalog descriptions - I believe it was abandoned for the production release but fully intended early on.
