Toby Denham's Motorized Cat Trac Part 2 - The Donor

Land Fighter Donor Vehicle

The first photo (e-mail subject: "Cat Trac donor vehicle") shows the toy boxed. The photo attached here shows the vehicle unpacked.

Land Fighter with Wired Remote

This toy is a military type vehicle that is (or was) offered with 6 different body styles such as truck, tank or jeep. Packed with the vehicle are 2 toy soldiers and an obstacle (looks like a stack of timbers) for the vehicle to climb over.

The bodies that are offered with these toys are pretty lame, but the motor / track units are well made. I put the thing through a rigorous test to make sure I wasn't wasting my time. The manufacturer or distributor (it's not specified which) is Soma International Ltd. South Seas Centre, TST East, Hong Kong. It was marketed by WalMart last year. The ones I found were lost behind other toys on the upper shelves. I have located another one at a local discount store which I haven't picked up yet. That will bring the total up to 4 vehicles that I have been able to find. I have sent an inquiry to WalMart via the internet, but I haven't received a reply.

If any of you fellows find one or more of these toys please let me know.
