This set has been opened but I believe the last minty opened set sold for a similar amount, which feels about right. Expect to pay double this for a minty sealed one.

Major Matt Mason: Mattel's Man in Space Capt. Lazer Firebolt Action Set from 1968. EXTREMELY RARE PIECE!
Box measures 20" x 12.25" x 9.25". In great condition, some light wear and tanning. No paperwork.
Capt. Lazer 13" (to top of helmet) action figure. In fantastic condition with minimal wear. Battery compartment clean but features did not work when tested. Can hear a tiny piece of plastic rattling when moved about. Includes all attachments EXCEPT the two feet stands.
Firebolt Space Lazer. 18" x 10.5" x 10" (at furthest distances). Minimal wear. Clean battery compartment. Still moves, radar spins and radar screen still flashes! Firebolt Power tube does not light up when tested.
No batteries included.

My Take:
I wasn't aware of this auction at all until Rick Porter texted me about it - it was a Buy It Now so must not have been available very long. Extremely good deal on this box as it's legitimately rare. Also a nearly perfect example box - better than mine.

- Description: Very hard to find Mattel MMM item made for the Mexican Market called Capitan Meteoro. This item does not seem to really be in the scale of MMM, but it's branded as such.
- Date or Era: circa 1969
- Condition: see pics, not sure how complete it is. I think I tested it and it did not work.
- Size: box is 17x10x5"
- Made in Mexico
My Take:
I kinda wish I had gone for this as the box is in much better condition than mine. Tough toy to find with a box - it's usually missing the floating ball so I'm not sure if there was anything special about it - if it works it suspends a ping pong ball in the air. There's no equivalent in the Major Matt Mason line, CIPSA seems to have repurposed another toy as a Capitan Meteoro vehicle (note that no figure can ride in it).

This used to be one of the more difficult intact cards to find, but since it was part of the multi-case find is now much more common. I think this prices is about right considering the condition.

Reconojet Pak. The blister is loose on card, some tape addded at
bottom, but not detached. The blister has a crack at top. The cardboard
backing has frayed edges and wear. The Space Camera is missing. The
sticker sheet is there unused, rader dish, and rope and hook. and laser
pistol, see pictures for more details.
My Take:
Most of these carded accessories sell in the $125-150 range, this one at the lower end considering it's missing pieces and the card is a bit rough. Seems like the later accessories are less common than those that came out first?

I have for sale a very nice 1967 Mattel Major Matt Mason #6318 still
factory sealed. The card is in excellent condition, the plastic bubble
is a little wavy with a dent to upper right corner. The figurine looks
very clean with just a slight bit of yellowing to top of his helmet.
There is a piece of scotch tape applied to upper right corner of card
which I took a picture of, I am not sure why its there, the card dosent
look ripped and plastic dosent appear to be pulling away from card. I
was afraid to remove the tape in fear of ripping the surface.
As with the Sgt. Storm Cat Trac card that sold in October, this one is in similar shape, sealed but with a slightly crushed bubble. Someone bought it last minute for the list price - I think $400 is about right on this as they're becoming harder to find and the value will only increase.
