Description:

Has been opened, but the bottom half is still attached. This vintage toy is a Major Matt Mason Red Cat Trac from 1967 by Mattel. It features blue stripes and is part of the astronaut theme. The toy comes on its original card but has been opened.

My Take:
I wish the figure was in better condition but the buyer can always substitute it for a better one, hopefully from the same vintage and style (large head). The nice thing about open decent looking cards is that you can display the figure either in the package or loose and posed.

My Take:
I was a bit surprised at this sale as it appears to have sold for the listing price (it might have sold at an offer price so take about 10% off). This originally came from the later MMM release of the accessory cards so not as common as the initial whose sales haven't yet recovered from the 27 unopened cases that surfaced back in 2009.

My Take:
I've noted previously that this is a somewhat difficult card to find in decent condition. For some reason they all appear beat up when they survive intact - this example is better than most. Same seller as the Gamma Ray Gard above.

My Take:
This is not a very pretty example of the Space Travel Pak. I'm surprised that it sold for so much, but like the Gamma Ray Gard above, it's less common than the initial assortment that somewhat flooded the market when found back in 2009.

This is a fairly common card but usually the arms are brittle and visibly in pieces, or it may be that all the carded accessories are becoming scarce as new/old collectors come into the market?

Description:

Up for auction is a Rare Vintage 1970 Mattel Sea Devils Kretor Colorforms Outer Space Men Matt Mason. The rubber on the left arm is broke in 2 spots and his left ankle has a small break in the rubber too (as seen in pictures).  Wire inside is all very good.

My Take: 

I'm including sales of Colorform Aliens and Sea Devils going forward as there seems to be cross-over interest in the toy lines. Kretor continues to demand high prices, especially when the wires are unbroken. Even with the broken arm (which is very common - the plastic on Kretor appears to be more brittle than on other figures) this example displays very well.
