| Three Asakusa Space Scooters from eBay |
I don't own any of these but they are often linked or described as MMM toys - made by Asakusa of Japan there are three, maybe four variations that all have a common theme: a seated plastic astronaut (and sometimes a Snoopy-like space-suited dog) that looks at least superficially like a Major Matt Mason figure, but a bit smaller scale, driving a "hover" scooter with some device mounted on the front. The figure and scooter are made from the same mold with variations in the color of plastic. The arms seem to be articulated and the helmet visor can be lifted - I don't believe the legs are jointed at the hips.

I grabbed the image above from eBay - a seller conveniently has three different variations listed for sale. Note that these prices seem pretty high to me - each loose are usually in the $100-150 range with packaged versions about double that, topping out about $400 from what I've seen.
