Vintage Mattel 1968 TALKING Major Matt Mason Man Space with Box Gem Condition
Toy is Gem however from being stored for a long time with the backpack the figure is stuck to the backpack. I did not try to remove. looking from the side it appears to be stuck on the buttocks and up above by the shoulders.
Helmet mint condition. No broken wires in the figure.
Talking mechanism works but the voice is garbled but can be understood.
Original box is over all great shape. See photos. Great example of this toy.
Includes the rare warranty card as well.

My Take:
This playset is one of the harder Major Matt Mason collectibles to find in this condition - the box is very nice - they're usually crushed (I've owned a few). Since this was a Best Offer situation, take 10-15% off of the listing price.

I completely missed out on this or I would have bid. These XRG-1 with MMM cards are super rare and have very limited distribution - I notice that the seller is in Illinois - seems it was primarily distributed along the border as there's also a French-Canadian version. I notice that the person who won this auction has it relisted on eBay for $1862.42.

Original vintage 1968 Mattel Major Matt Mason "Deluxe Action Set" COMPLETE with box! The set includes the Major Matt Mason figure, as well as the Space Crawler and Space Station. The parts and pieces display well for their age, however the larger space crawler does require dusting and cleaning. The bendy wire figures display well, however care is advised as these types of figures are fragile with age. Overall a great addition to any vintage 1960's science fiction toy collection!

My Take:
While this set isn't store stock it's nice seeing a listing for a Space Station Space Crawler Deluxe Action Set that has complete contents. It's funny how the inclusion of the figure and the flight set accessories can nearly double the value of this set. The box itself has a bit of silverfish damage and where's the paperwork?

Not many MMM costumes around that are in this amazing condition. Well worth the money I think.
