1969 Jouets Rationnels “2e Tombola De Noel” French Ad Circular

Jouets Rationnels “2e Tombola De Noël” Cover

This small catalog probably came in local French newspapers in 1969, featuring Jouets Rationnels. “2e Tombola De Noël.” Seems Jouets Rationnels was promoting Mattel as part of its Christmas sweepstakes. The Space Station is prominently displayed under the tree with a seated MMM figure.

Translations by Paul Vreede:

2e Tombola De Noël - 2nd Christmas Bingo (aka sweepstakes)

Jouets Rationnels logo

20 millions d'af (200 000 F) de Jouets a Gagner - 20 million AF (200 000 F) in toys to be won
(France had introduced the “new” Franc in 1960, which was worth 100 “old” Francs (Anciens Francs  or AF) as one of several financial measures before entering the European Common Market.  It’s surprising that 9 years later a lottery prize is still announced in old Francs, although it does of course sound much more impressive!)
