Mattel 1969 Australia Catalog Front Cover

Like the other Mattel 1969 international catalogs, this one features Hot Wheels on the cover emulating the Mattel 1968 "Toy Fair" Catalog. My Aussie friends tell me that these early Mattel catalogs are extremely rare locally. I know this is the only one I've every found and I've been seeking evidence that they exist for 25 years. For 1969, Callisto, Doug Davis and Jeff Long are introduced with images and descriptions much like those found in the Mattel GmbH 1969 Catalog (German Market) only in English.

John's Notes

It was pointed out to me that several items on Page 23 are mislabeled - If you look in the Space Station it shows MMM seated with a Sgt Storm Label, Sgt Storm has a Jeff Long label and Jeff Long has a Doug Davis label. I checked against the original in the Mattel Toys 1969 Spring Catalog and it's the same - never noticed it before. It appears for Australia they reused the image and typesetting.
