Astronaut Voice Command Flight Pak

Voice Command Flight Pak - What is It?

A string pulled "talking" toy, disguised as a flying backpack, the orange and silver plastic Voice Command Flight Pak would say various phrases as a figure was lowered via string (a similar arrangement to the Jet Propulsion Pak, but the talking action required the figure to be dropped instead of the back string pulled). Two legs extended from the Pak, giving the figure support while standing.

The accessory was sold with an MMM figure, attached to the backpack with an oversized twist tie so he appears to be flying. Both packages had a window box so the figure and accessory could be seen by a prospective purchaser.

Voice Command Flight Pak Audio Files

Sold as part of the #6362 #Talking Major Matt Mason or #6378 Talking Flying Major Matt Mason sets, the Voice Command Flight Pak provided recordings that would activate when a figured place within the pak was lowered via string (much like the Jet Propulsion Pak).

John's Notes:

The first MMM toy I ever found "in the wild" and what provoked me into both collecting toys and the good Major!
