From Japan in 1997 comes this mook called Return of Figure King (No. 2) - the issue introduces Major Matt Mason to its readers (pages 54-57) with images of figures and accessory cards. Most of the cards have the Japanese instructions marketed with the cards in the Japanese market (quite rare). Translations and transcript via Google Translate (very messy so please forgive me) below. The book opens from the right and I believe the vertical kana may follow that method - seems Google has a hard time with it.

Spaceman's latest space tow vehicle for lunar surface exploration, equipment number 9", crew of 2, and by connecting a space oxygen capsule, it is possible to form an expedition of 3 people at once, including Spaceman, Callisto, and Dr. Davis. It is more functional than a Space Crawler, and the vehicle can be separated or combined into three parts depending on the purpose: an upper passenger seat, a middle transport unit, and a lower moving caterpillar. It boasts the highest horsepower among the space vehicles in the "N" series. The power section uses built-in gears to reproduce the realistic running sound and spin of a caterpillar, allowing the user to experience the action of Thunderbird 2's caterpillar equipment at home. There was also a set product that included a ``Space Traction Vehicle & Space Oxygen Capsule,'' but the specific contents and price are unknown.

John's Notes:
- Some of the English text reads as gibberish - that's due to Google Translation errors. Also there are idioms that are used in Japanese that Google doesn't appear to be aware of - hopefully this will improve with the addition of AI translations. The coolest parts of this article are the images of the Japanese translations of instruction sheets - these sheets were attached to figures and accessories and I believe inserted into box sets sold there. More info on the page dedicated to Japanese distribution here.
- The title of the second issue "Return of Figure King" is a tongue-in-cheek reference to the second episode of many manga issues or anime OVA - often the first of a series tests the waters and the followup would have the "Return of ..." title.
- There are a few very common inaccuracies regarding release dates. The copyright dates on figures, vehicles and accessories don't reflect actual release dates - this is alluded to in the article.
