1969 Mattel Astrospace Center Commercials from Norm Easterday

Many of you have seen the 1969 commercial provided a few years ago by Norm Easterday (above). Norm, being the same kind of geek as myself as a kid, also recorded several commercials directly from TV onto reel-to-reel tape. Here's a copy of the reel (transcript below). 

Norm's Notes:

There is some repetition due to when I originally dubbed the audio to one video file, I was not very pleased with the audio quality of the original recording (so some commercials were recorded again). Done on a 1960's era Ampex, seven-inch, reel-to-reel using just a microphone placed in front of an RCA brand, console television speaker.

John's Notes

There are 8 separate commercial recordings.  The third is pretty garbled but I believe it's the same as the record 7 and record 6 is the same as record 8.

00.00 Here's a progress report from Mattel Astro Space Center.
00:03 We're watching the landing of two new astro scientists: Doug Davis radiologist on the left with Jeff Long rocketry in the blue suit, joining Major Matt Mason's space team and this is Callisto from Jupiter. His transparent skull reveals the workings of his alien brain.
00:22 Now Callisto is demonstrating his incredible space sensor.
00:26 Mason is watching.
00:27 Callisto has started a rock fall! He's in serious trouble!
00:31 Sgt Storm is using his Supernaut Power Limbs and Mason is going into the Space Power Suit. They're working desperately.
00:39 Callisto's okay thanks to the new equipment.
00:44 Callisto's friendship could be helpful to our space program. We could form a Jupiter-Earth pool of space knowledge, if Callisto will cooperate.

01:32  Martian giant Capt. Lazer enters to investigate.. He's trapped! Right now Matt Mason is leading the rescue effort. Jeff Long in the Power Suit and Doug Davis in the Power Limbs are digging furiously. While Callisto absorbs radiation. It seems, yes, Lazer's eyes are flashing. He's safe!
