Mattel GmbH Art.Nr. 1-6330 Capt Laser

Mattel GmbH Art.Nr. 1-6330 Capt Laser Box Front
This is Captain Lazer in German-language packaging - though sadly without his instruction sheet. The Captain himself has nothing to distinguish him from others, it is just the box itself that has been translated and printed in Germany. As far as I can tell (I have no US box for comparison and I can't read all texts on the pictures found online), the German texts just translate the original english. There's one possible exception: the back of the box describes Captain Lazer as being a robot!

Variations:

Gun Attachment, Chest Reactor and Eye combination - Capt Laser could be found with any of three color combinations. These are the same as the US Version.

Paul's Notes:

  • Some of the typefaces used on this box are different from those used in the US.
  • Lazer's name is spelled as Capt. Laser with an S to facilitate German pronunciation ("Laser" gets pronounced as "Lah-zer" whereas "Lazer" would come out as "Lah-TZer"). His rank (as well as the other figures' ranks) has remained in English.(I'll spare you a ramble on what they could've been in German ;)

John's Notes:

This is an extremely difficult item to find, in either the US or foreign version.
