Sears Department Store Catalogs

Sears 1969 Christmas Catalog Page 501

As a kid, the local Sears was always one of those destinations that my parents knew better than to take me to. Seems when I was around 7 or so, I wandered away from my mother and when she found me, I was sitting on the floor with toys all around me - many removed from packages. The store manager was not pleased, and neither was my mom, was not pleased. I did get to go to Sears around Christmas time, usually for an annual Christmas photo and with hand firmly grasped, allowed to go up and down the aisles. The problem was that I wanted everything, and we didn't have the money to buy everything - which sucked.
